Welcome Babies
This Welcome Babies Basket was created for a very special friend of mine. With the help of a Christian adoption service, her brother and his wife, who were childless, were blessed recently with the gift of twin orphaned Chinese baby girls. What better way to express her love, support, thoughts and prayers and welcome wishes, but by creating her very own special gift for them. She beautifully crafted a teal colored, satin, needlepoint pillow. She allowed Karsten Baskets to enhance the gifting moment by creating a unique and personalized gift presentation. We presented it for her snuggly in a 15" oval white willow princess basket weaved with delicate, pink, chiffon ribbon. Amongst the Chinese culture, ladybugs represent luck, so two smiley faced, pink ceramic ladybug banks grinned out over the edge of the basket. Other additions included a coffee mug, classical CD selections, bibs, and of course Lindt milk chocolate truffles brightly wrapped in red foil. A life changing event like this would not be complete without a journal to document precious thoughts along the way. From the first anticipated moment, to a far away hotel room, the travel, the days and nights still ahead, this story is just beginning.....
