Roaring 20's Travel Trunk This gift was created for a special friend and his female companion who were traveling across country. The theme originated after learning that this couple had been spending their time together reading and discussing F. Scott Fitzgerald novels and had developed a general interest in the decade of the 20's. Her favorite color was pink. Although it was to contain everyday snacks, it also needed to include a sampling of more gourmet type items for fun and interest. Delicate and classy. Starting with a traditional theme of a picnic basket, this design evolved into a wooded trunk with metal ornate corners and a leather handle. Included in this one of a kind container: two wine glasses filled with bonbons, raspberry filled creams, truffles, chocolate covered grahams, sausage, mustard, cheese, cheese spread, cheese sticks, water crackers, caviar, English clotted cream, cheese spreader, utensils, napkins and matches. An old fashion cork screw was also included. A rose scented candle, a silk pink rose and a beautiful old-fashioned pink fabric bow lie under an antique-like table scarf. The client only needed to provide the wine, the music and the place. What a wonderful romantic end to a long day's drive. As a special conversational enhancement to this design, a printed history of the decade of the 20's was attached to the velour lining inside the case.
